The annual Tacoma Home + Garden show kicks off Thursday, Jan. 23 at the Tacoma Dome — which means spring is around the corner, and it’s time to start dreaming about accomplishing that next project around the house.

This is where to go for inspo and to connect with some of best resources and people to get the job done. There will be more than 300 home and garden brands onsite including landscapers, designers, remodelers, and more. The show is owned by Marketplace Events, the largest producer of home shows in North America.

New this year will be the Artisan Market featuring many local and Tacoma artisans who will be selling their work. Find everything from woodworkers and printmakers, to ceramic artists, jewelry makers, and more. This year, you also can take a plant home from the onsite plant sale.

Of course, you can expect amazing display gardens and home and garden inspired workshops. Ciscoe Morrisand Marianne Binetti will be keynote speakers. Feature gardens will be presented by Father Nature Landscape, Olympic Landscape, and Nature Perfect Landscape.

The show also has multiple features that will benefit local charities. Barkitecture will bring together local “designers” to create over-the-top pooch houses that will be auctioned at the show to benefit Sunny Sky Animal Rescue and Hospital, the largest no-kill shelter in the state. The “Bark-Itechs” are Tacoma Defiance, AR Workshop Gig Harbor, and Peninsula Pony Club. Sponsors are Parwell Farms and ForeverLawn of Puget Sound.

Check out the website here for coupons and a full schedule of events. Note, Friday, Jan. 24 is Trade Day. People who work in the home and garden industry get in for free with a valid ID. Hero Day is Sunday and all military, police, firefighters, paramedics, nurses, and teachers get in free.
